It provides informative and interesting anecdotes about the historical discussion on various procurement process models. The theoretical part chapter 3 and 4, focuses to the general perspectives of the procurement process and historical perspective of ICT procurement in Tanzania. Administrator in Dar Es Salaam distributed questionnaires to respondents in schools. The introductory section describes the context of the research and build up motivation for the work. The result indicates two approaches, centralized and decentralized, both are explained. The aim of the study was to inform the constructive contribution of the book, ‘the design of ICT procurement process model for Tanzanian secondary schools. Secondary data was collected through documents review from different sources, policies and literatures on major development of ICT in Tanzania. The book is deals with procurement process of ICT equipment in developing countries settings. Purposeful sumpling concentrated on schools which had already started implementing computer studies curriculum in Dar es Salaam. Primary data was collected in the form of self administered questionnaires.

E-Learning in Secondary Schools in Kenya. A Case of NEPAD E-Schools
This book is a product of research work done in the six NEPAD and non-NEPAD schools in Kenya. Kenya' s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) policy recognizes an ICT literate workforce as the foundation to economic growth,poverty eradication and improved school access. It seeks to expose the scope of ICT integration in secondary schools in Kenya by comparing the practice in the NEPAD and non-NEPAD schools. As a result, research was done to investigate the government' s preference of NEPAD e- schools' project instead of expanding access to computer studies in other secondary schools given the magnitude of the funding involved. The results of the study may be of great importance to researchers, educationists, and policy makers because of its contribution to knowledge about ICT curriculum in Kenya. Yet to date only ten percent of the secondary schools in Kenya offer computer studies due to infrastructural constraints. For this reason, it was easy for the Government to embrace the New Partnership for Africa' s Development (NEPAD) e-schools' project due to its promised funding.
